We stayed here for a few nights during our 3 weeks in KwaZulu-Natal and thoroughly enjoyed being pampered by the super-friendly staff in this very peaceful setting right on the outskirts of St Lucia. The most comfy bed, yummy breakfasts, beautiful gardens and especially at night, exciting wildlife encounters - what's not to love.
Best location in St Lucia I think...right at the end and overlooking the reed beds, exactly where the sun sets! Great hospitality, a lovely place to chill out.
The Honeymoon suite allocated was excellent overlooking gardens of property. Nevertheless, Wi-Fi was non-existent all 4 days and inconvenient, also no access to a TV. Guest should be able to access sitting room in main house at all times with a communal TV if no individual TV’s made available in rooms. Excellent breakfast and maid service was exemplary.
After 20 years we were back at the Kingfisher Lodge. It was a faboulus experience, the lodge was as wonderful as always. We enjoied the garden, the food, the relaxing atmosphere and the friendly staff. St. Lucia is always worth visiting with the hippos and the crocodiles all around
We are a family of 6 (children ranging from 15 to 8) and we spent 3 nights are the lodge. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we could asked for. The team/host were very helpful and very friendly and warm; the children didn't want to leave anymore. The breakfast was amazing: so much delicious variety. Couldn't recommend more staying at this place
