On the website this hotel has all the amenities you need, but in reality it provides the minimum. There is a cooker, but no pans. There is aircon, but so badly located we had to turn it off over night. There is coffee, but no milk. There is a hairdryer, but the handle is broken. Generally it needs some maintenance. On the plus side, the location is convenient to walk into the mall next door for supplies. The reception area was nice.
While the people at the front desk were lovely, and the common areas are impressively big, the 2 room suite we stayed in was surprising sub-standard for an international brand like Mercure. Carpet was dirty (not vacuumed), the room smelled bad and furniture was long passed its useful life. Breakfast was simple but hearty. Great bar with a friendly bartender. Pool area is delightful.
Hotel is directly across from a shopping mall and about 30 -45 minute drive to the airport.

It’s really a chilled environment. It is great for a weekend where you just want to stay in and rest. Close to a number of amenities including I’langa mall being a walking distance.
The service is great and the breakfast is super delicious!!

We booked a 2 room suite and stayed for 2 nights on route from the Kruger to Jo Burg.
Noticed a few reviews say there is no BBQ facilities, there is, it is are round the back of the pool area.
The suite was spacious, we did have ants in the kitchen area but nothing too serious. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Air conditioned and safe were in the suite.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, Elvis behind the bar is the man for cocktails! Pleasant sunbathing and pool area with a pool table and table tennis. Location wise it is next to a mall so for shopping of any kind, including food, it is ideal. Many good resturants a short walk from the hotel in the mall. It did get a little noisy at night with cars, but to be expected as it is next to the shopping mall and within an industrial area.

I booked online and checked in online where it stated that "all you have to do is show up and pick the room card". When I did arrive, went to reception whereby was requested to provide all the information again. Apparently in South Africa credit card discounts must be done in front of the guest(?!). Requested a Junior Suite with two beds and got with one bed...
