Beautiful location overlooking Sabie River. We had Cabin 1 which was very spacious and had its own large balcony with direct view over river and into Kruger Park - excellent location for viewing the animals and birds. The lodge also had its own large deck and pool with tables and chairs for viewing - the deck was used for an evening bar b q which was fantastic and every evening there is a large campfire on the deck where you can sit to chat and drink. There are several hippos in the river by lodge and we saw elephants and buffalo coming from Kruger into the river. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the early morning safari drive to Kruger was excellent value and well worthwhile. There was plenty to eat, a lot of meat as you would expect, but a better choice of vegetables would have been welcome. The lodge is about 20 mins drive to Paul Kruger Gate and same to Phabeni Gate entrance. Go early to get into park more quickly as security is tight at entrances. Phabeni gate is less busy but poorly signposted on way to Hazyview. We also hired a car and did self drive in the park which is a fantastic experience and well worth doing.

We loved our night at Sabie River Bush Lodge. Fantastic cabin, the kids adored the pool, and dinner was spectacular. Easy drive from Kruger, and was a welcome night of luxury after a long, hot road trip. Hopefully will return! Thanks so much.

It was just perfect. We enjoyed our stay at the Sabie River Bush lodge very much. Especially the possibility of watching wild animals while sitting in your chair and drinking your favorite beer :-) excellent!

This was one of the best places we stayed on our 3 week adventure around South Africa and Swaziland.

The cabins are very comfortable where we sat each night on our deck watching the sun go down over the river.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We loved seeing our children swim in the pool with elephants grazing on the river bank and hippos swimming by. Amazing!

The staff are lovely and helpful, even cleaning our car while we went out exploring Kruger. The food was great and varied.

As for the location, it's conveniently located a short drive front the Kruger Gate. Being on the Sabie River, it felt like we were actually in the park without paying premium rates.

I really can't rate this place highly enough. Loved it!
