Spent 4 days at jocks and saw almost everything. Loads of elephants, Rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards etc. Cant say enough about our ranger Lazeros. Absolute star with a brilliant sense of humour. The other staff were excellent and made our stay so memorable. First time our friends had been on safari and they haven’t stopped talking about it. Brilliant time.

We have just returned home after our wonderful safari holiday in Kruger Park. Our stay at Jock's Safari Lodge was exceptional from start to finish. From the warm welcome at Skukuza airport, spotting a cheetah on the way to our lodge and then arrival at our luxury colonial- style accommodation, excitement was building up for a great few days ahead!
We saw so many magnificent animals - lions enjoying their kill, herds of elephants, rhinos, giraffes and zebras, wildebeest, breeding herds of buffalo, hyenas and many more.To see and observe them in their natural surroundings and at such close proximity to our jeep,is something I will never forget.
Of course we were expertly guided by our wonderful ranger Patrick who completely enhanced our safari experience. He made our morning and evening game drives so interesting, so educational and so entertaining. Our open-sided jeep afforded us tremendous opportunities to experience the wildlife in Kruger park. We loved the velvet fleece-lined blankets provided for the cool morning drives.
We were welcomed back after each game drive. The evenings were very special at Jock's Lodge - a pre-dinner aperitif in the tree house bar ,then summoned by the drummers to a delicious dinner - the outdoor space for barbecue or more formal dining in the dining room. Beautifully placed parafin lamps illuminated the dark African sky giving a very special ambience to our evening. Patrick joined our table each evening and regaled us with various tales of the Bush!
Jock's Safari Lodge has a lovely homely feel to it as it hosts only 24 guests. Every member of staff contributed to our truly wonderful stay here,Their courtesy and great smiles were a highlight. I would highly recommend Jock's Safari Lodge.

We spent 3 nights at Jock Safari lodge in late September and had a wonderful time. The weather was cool by Kruger standards, so we had no need to use the plunge pool, but the cottages are wonderful. Our games drives exceeded our expectations; we saw leopards and cheetahs a few metres away, loads of elephants, even a rock python! Jaani was our guide and he was fantastic. We learned so much from him and would not have seen anywhere near as many animals but for his expert searching skills and determination. If an animal is there, he will find it!
Very early starts became the norm but in between there was time to relax on the lovely outdoor day bed. The food and hospitality is excellent and everyone was friendly and got along great. We really didn't want to leave - I would recommend at least 4 nights rather than 3. I'd go back in a flash.

Room tip: All are good looking into the river bed I think.

First of all, if you are thinking about whether you should stay outside or inside the park. Stay inside the park. You get to start your game drives earlier and stay out later... giving you better chance to see wildlife.

We had a wonderful safari experience at Jock Safari Lodge.

We arrived in just enough time to eat a quick lunch and go on the afternoon game drive. It was great! We saw 4 of the Big 5 on the first day. Every game drive after that during our short stay provided different chances to see numerous amounts of wildlife. In addition, I really liked the structure of the day. Early morning and late afternoon game drives and lots of food in between. Shout out to our ranger, Jacob.

Most things are included except for drinks, so depending on how much you decide to drink the tab can vary.

I also decided to a massage at the spa on the property. It was great and a very relaxing experience.

Jock Safari Lodge was an excellent choice and provided an amazing safari experience.
