Smart camp just inside the south end of the park, close to both local airports and easily accessible from OR Tambo.
The food in the camp was the best we have ever had in a lodge, we have stayed with Wilderness in both Botswana and Namibia, as well as Belmont in Botswana, in fact the standards here compare well with established Cape Town reastaurants!
They manage the game drives well, out at 05.30 and back by 9.00 for breakfast and then 16.00 to 19.30 followed by diner at 20.15.
Despite the prolonged rainfall and it's affect on the bush, tall grass and healthy growth the game viewing was exceptionally good. Rhinos thrive here as they aren't disturbed as much as in the main camp, we saw many different ones over our 4days. There are also lots of elephant, we saw a herd of 25+ as well as lots of smaller groups. Lion are also plentifull but the length of the grass probably hid many more, however we still managed to see a breeding pair, four males and a few other good sittings. Buffalo are also here in medium sized herds. The highlight early morning was a Cheetah with four cubs, a very rare sight, but the astonishing thing was grouped with the Cheetahs was seven Rhino, a herd of Buffalo and Impala, Zebra and Wilda beasts, a pretty unique sight!
The camp is well run, staff are passionate and genuinely care about your stay. Finally I must mention our Guide Patrick, humorous, very passionate, an excellent driver and an exceptional spotter, he made our visit special.
To conclude it compares well with the major players in the business and we would certainly visit again.
