We can't say enough positive things about this hotel!! I am certain you will be happy with a choice to stay here. It is beautiful and really well designed so you feel like you are in a luxurious private hut in the bush but you're actually a 2 min walk to the pool/main lodge. The activities list is fantastic, Dave and Maria are terrific hosts, the food is outstanding, our guide was super nice and good at spotting animals and the whole atmosphere is just really wonderful. In particular, we totally recommend the lion walk, the afternoon game drives (we had much much better luck seeing animals on our afternoon drive altho that may have been a fluke - and take wine with you for the afternoon stop in the bush!), Jessica the Hippo, playing with their sweetheart of a dog also named Jessica, the apples are amazing, the amarula nightcap was so fun, the cold towels when we came back from safari were really welcome, the outdoor shower is so nice, the jacuzzi is great (and makes it feel cool outside when you step out of it which makes for a really pleasant plunge), the bed turndown with the mosquito nets arranged each night ... I could go on and on bc there are so many wonderful things about this hotel. They are also incredibly thoughtful - really appreciated the cooler when we went to Kruger on self drive trip and the breakfast prepped for us when we got back from a bush walk at 630am on our last day, among other really nice things Dave and Maria did for us. We loved it here so so much!!

What can I say??? Kusudalweni Lodge, blew away my expectations!!! It had all the amenities of a Ritz Carlton, but also made you feel like your home with all the comforts!!!! Dave and Maria, made us feel so welcome and the staff did an amazing job pampering us! You will be hard pressed to find such comfort at any place that provides the access to BIG 5 safari game drives and the amenities you would expect at a 5 star hotel, including spa services like massages! They even set us up for an amazing walk with white lions, complimentary!!!! We will definitely go back and enjoy Kusudalweni again!!!!

Room Tip: Each room has a private Jacuzzi tub for your pleasure! The rooms are superbly decorated and clean!

Dave and Maria make you feel right at home at Kusudalweni with their friendly greetings, cozy atmosphere around den and dinner table, and beautiful surroundings. But this is better than home because the food is delicious and ample, drink glasses are never empty, rooms are clean with fresh linens and luxurious decor, and wildlife amble just outside the hot tub. Also love the outdoor shower.

Stayed for 3 nights (not enough) & had such an incredible time. Maria & Dave are just the nicest people & lots of fun. The chalets are beautiful & secluded. Was like leaving family when I left. The drives in the parks with Larry were informative & rewarding. Saw the big 5 in just over 2 hours & walking with West's 'girls' WOW. Had a cuddle with a white lion, her paws were around my back. Maria, Dave & all the Kusudalweni family thank you for such a wonderful time & big hugs to Jessie. Definitely will be back.
