Good service at the desk , the restaurant and the room-service.
It made a special appearance: the round house.
There as no airco, instead a van.
A fridge wa also wishful.
The safari-tour from the park as very nice

Me and 3 friends stopped here as part of a holiday and it was fantastic. I'm not going to pretend it was the best place I've ever been but it was great and for the price it was phenomenal.

Location- fantastic, 20-30minutes into Kruger, Zebras hanging out on the grounds on your way back to your room. Also Blyde canyon is on your way back to Joburg and well worth the extra trip.

Facilities- The rooms were really nice, with fantastic bathrooms, very clean and with a lot of privacy which is always nice. The bar, pool area with the Braai were really nice places to relax with a gin and tonic.

Food- not michellin star but enough variety for anyones taste and very tasty, everyone left their breakfast and dinner satisfied.

Service- this is where Timbavati really stands out. All the staff were fantastic. Particularly Kylie who appears to be running that place on her own. She came to make sure we got up for our game drive at 4:30am, was there to chat with us at the end of the day. The bar staff, restaurant staff were all really friendly and we felt very welcome and taken care of our whole trip.

All in all it was a great stay and fantastic at the price.

If you do go make sure you visit Blyde canyon as well. I can't believe we heard so little about it beforehand it was stunning and a great lazy day trip if you're staying at the lodge for a few days.

We spent four pleasant days at Timbavati and found it comfortable, friendly, and very reasonably priced. Our package included three game drives -- one full day in Kruger and two half days in Manyeleti Reserve, with a very skillful and knowledgable guide named Thomas. The staff was efficient and very helpful, meals were good, and accommodations first-class. Highly recommended!

Privacy on almost every porch because of how the rondavels are positioned. If you're in one furthest down the hill, you have an unobstructed view of giraffe, wart hogs, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, various duikers, banded mongoose. . . The property is beautifully landscaped and shows a lot of care, there's a comfortably-furnished bar near the pool, staff have an easy and relaxed manner, and the food was very good.

Room Tip: The window screens were not well-fastened, risking mosquito incursion if you open the windows.

After spending 6 nights in the Kruger Park at various SanParks it was really great to spend the last 4 nights of our trip in the totally relaxed setting at Timbavati Safari Lodge. Kylie and Ryan worked hard to ensure we had a really relaxing time. Food is fantastic, as is the bar at the pool - Where Moses and Ophelia served the ice cold beverages! A mere 13 minutes from Orpen Gate allowed us the freedom to come and go into the Park again as we pleased. The game sightings were the best I've seen in years!

Room Tip: The are plenty of chalets with ceiling fans, but we were fortunate enough to stay in a room adjacent to the owners house which happened to have an aircon and a TV- was fantastic!
