Was here in October 2014 and can still be bothered to write a review today because this lovely place more than deserves the praise. We couldn't have wished for a better welcome to Africa on our first visit - quaint, colourful huts, monkeys and warthogs on the porch included :). The atmosphere and food are lovely. Service is great. The hostess went out of her way in helping us get back the suitcase that got misplaced at the airport. The safari guide went out of his way to get us a great experience in the Kruger park. Definitely a place to go back to and definitely my preference over the places that are IN Kruger park.

Visited Timbavati Safari Lodge for our anniversary, and had a fantastic time. The room is average at best, but considering the 3 star rating, one can't expect much more. The service and friendliness from the staff, attention to detail, food and outdoor activities made the stay unforgettable. The staff went out of their way in every imaginable way to make our stay very special. From the moment we arrived it felt like a home away from home. All in all a fantastic experience, and we will certainly visit them again.

The small huts with its decorative painted outside puts you in the right mood emediatly. They are nicely and comfortably furnished. Nice bar and good restaurant also contributes to the good feeling when staying. We traveled with Nomad Travels so our visit was short, intense and lovely
Not top luxury but highly recomendable if you have resonable expectation of how it is to live in a safari lodge.

A 3star lodge in a nice position for orpen gate.Rooms have Mosquito nets and some are small. Mosquito nets are installed to low, therefore a large person battles with them. Waterflow in shower is slow especially the hot water. Borehole. The ways to some rooms are not well lit therefore take a torch. Ground uneven. Food average and simple.Staff friendly.Bar is not always occupied.

Room Tip: Choose chalets

Hi Pzan,
Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at the lodge. We find your comments very helpful and will be checking all the mosquito nets to ensure they are at a suitable height to cover the bed and enable a comfortable sleep. We are also looking at installing more lights on the room paths to ensure they are well lit. We look forward to your next visit.
