Moontide Guest Lodge is a totally unique hotel and a totally unique experience. We were looked after perfectly from arrival to departure by our excellent host Tim. We stayed in Stone Cottage which is perfect in every detail - its 2 bedrooms were a home from home. Breakfast - cooked to order and served on the terrace, was sublime. I have no doubt we'll be staying at Moontide again.

Beautiful romantic location, nice room with plenty facilities and an excellent host. Nice little town to have a drink and dinner. The beach for warm wheather, and otherwise kayak on the river or nice hiking trails.

Being on our honeymoon, we were delighted with the romantic, tucked away Tree Tops room which features a large Victorian bath and an outdoor shower. The view from the balcony over the river is breathtaking. Breakfast was an absolute treat - served on the deck under the trees, with an abundant bird life adding to the peaceful atmosphere. We are happy we got to meet Tim, the manager, who helped us with restaurant recommendations and a spa booking.

Room tip: Definitely try the Tree Tops room for a romantic treat

I recently stayed at Moontide Guest House with my partner. The location was beautiful and the room was very nice. Access to canoes was included and the guest house is walking distance from the town centre. Would highly recommend.
