Really good hotel!! The staff made the difference.
Initially my boyfriend and I were traveling for three weeks in SA. Then he got a hernia and we had to go to the hospital in Hilton. Next to the hospital there is the Pretoria Hotel. We stayed for 4 days because my boyfriend could not walk. All the staff members were so friendly. Everyday the asked if they could do something for us (from manager till housekeeping). The room of this hotel is perfect (clean, good bed, every day new sheets, enough space in the room, wifi worked well). Quality of the food is good (really good curry). We enjoyed breakfast (a lot of choice and delicious). Unfortunately we had to go home due to the illness of my boyfriend. The staff helped us a lot with arranging to go back home (printing tickets and they give us also a pillow for the ride to the airport). Keep up the good work Pretoria Hotel Hilton!!!!!!

We had a comfortable stay, albeit only a short one-night stop over.Rooms are well appointed and bathroom had been upgraded. Good walk-in shower plus separate toilet. A negative point would be the very noisy plumbing - pipes make a lot of noise when neighbouring rooms are showering. TV channel selection was a bit limited. Reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. We did not stay for the breakfast as we felt this was very overpriced at R195 per person. Overall a good choice.

We often stay in Hilton, with the Protea being one of our choice venues. The hotel is great, nice comfortable rooms, good size bathrooms. everything works and is clean. In the past there have always been issues with the service - or lack of it at times in the restaurant. Reservations and front office staff were also poorly trained and really couldn't sort out even basic problems with bookings. With the new General Manager these seem to have gotten much better. The breakfast selection has always been extensive and continues to be so. Generally the quality of the food is very good at the hotel and with the improved attentive service in the restaurant I wish them well. It is well worth a visit if you happen to be in the Natal Midlands.

It is a large hotel, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Bedroom was large and very comfortable, and bathroom was spacious. The pool looked rather nice but it was too cold to get in. Very large selection at breakfast.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the pool was nice.

Always a pleasure and pleasant staying ag The Protea Hotel Hilton. My wife and I stayed there for three nights, Monday 4th of September 2017 to Thursday the 7th.
It's always a bit scaring when a good general manager is leaving a hotel and a new one is coming in. As a guest my fear are always whether the standards will remain the same and usually they go down a bit. There is a new general manager at this hotel and I must say, I am very impressed with the new general manager Anthony and his assistant general manager Breton. I had an opportunity to chat to these two gentlemen and I was convinced they have filled the big shoes left by Heather.
The staff was as pleasant as usual. A very big thank you to Senzo, the restaurant manager and Mandisa who has a very pleasant smile as always.
To the house keeping guys, thank you for keeping our suite always clean.
Thank you all and see you again very soon.
