So glad we booked a tour and didn't do it by our own.

John had kind of telescopic eyes! We could relax and enjoy scenery and he was looking arround and spotting animals every where.

Was nice because we saw the most difficult of the big 5 at Cape Vidal 2 days ago by our own! So lucky we were!
Before breakfast time we saw already at least 5 elephants, giraffe and buffaloes. Only 2 hours of tour and 3 of the big five already seen.

After coffee we went and found the white rino, just 30 min away...

John really want us to complete our big five and looked hard for the precious lions... was not the best weather, but he insisted, even driving more fare away as he use in this tour and there it is... 3 beautiful female lions sitting on the hill not too far from us... perfect day, perfect guide.

We stopped for a braai. (Delicious and included in price).

After this on our way back we saw more giraffes, buffalo and an elephant right on the road.

Was so grateful to see others with their own car far away of the elephant for prevention. But John know what he does and this animals perfectly, so we just aproxímate at only 2m of the big male elephant.

So glad we book a ranger and so glad it was john.

Thanks for this day.

Spent six nights at Zulu Nyala Heritage Safari Lodge for a conference. The food was spectacular, with several options available from the extensive buffet for every breakfast, lunch, and supper. Accommodations are varied, with even their cheapest being comfortable and clean. My shared room had a lion-foot tub as well as a decent sized shower. Wifi is available but the connection isn't particularly strong outside of the reception area. Game drives are available in both the Zulu Nyala Game Park and the nearby Hluhluwe-uMfolozi Game Reserve, where you have the chance to see the Big 5 as well as many bird species, etc. Knowledgeable game rangers make these drives an enjoyable and informative experience.

Like pretty much everyone else, we purchased this six day safari as part of a silent auction at our daughter's school. Although we purchased six days, we decided to only stay for two days at Zulu Nyala and do another 2-3 day safari at a 5 star neighboring private game lodge. The game drives at Zulu Nyala were very efficient and the rangers were well aware of where the animals were on this 5,000 acre property. The staff was friendly as well. It is a perfectly fine facility for budget conscious visitors.

Rooms were good, meals were good, good staff especially at the restaurant & bar
The game drive was excellent, rangers take you close to the wildlife. At the lodge there is crocodile enclosure, boma with bonfire for the winter months. Baai area and viewing decks

Large, comfortable rooms in a breathtaking setting. All meals included. Wild antelope and zebra roam the area. A pool was included and refreshing after a two hour drive. All the safaris were awesome and the Driver's were unbelievably informative.
