Good but room for improvement

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 22 Mar 2018
This hotel is far better than its sister hotel "Emakhosini on East" a few roads away. It is also set in a good location but the property is far more appealing. The rooms are very large, the pool is sparkling, the on-site restaurant is commendable. The service from the front desk, Alan, was incredible - he went out of his way to ensure we had a great room and that we were comfortable. A few things to improve on though: 1. More maintenance on doors and frames - they were chipped and balcony door could not open. 2. TV is way too small and picture quality was hazy with only 3 good channels - need to have MNet on here. 3. Need to weed out the parking area - overgrown with shrubs.

Average facilities, every room ia different. The furniture is a little worn out and the breakfast is very exclusive of popular food items.

The place looks very nice, however it's got that old and dusty look because it is quite old.

The hotel hosted a function whilst I was at a ro there, a party going on late in to the night and early morning. How did they expected other guests to sleep? The party occupied the entire middle section of the hotel by the pool which was the main area for everyone to get to their rooms?

First and last time staying.

Beautiful premises. Just the equipment was really poor. The proxima was faulty and ended up not being able to use my laptop. No sound system. Staff were extremely friendly. Food was delicious. Just really disappointed with equipment

What a disappointment. On checking in there were no rooms available. We had to wait for hours. Breakfast is a disappointment. To get some eggs and toast is a challenge. Do not open the curtains of your room. The Windows are cracked and the paint is nonexistent. The zircon in the room does not work. This was reported to the manager(Shaun) After 3 days it is not yet fixed with daily promises. You can't trust that man.
No salt on pepper on your table. No service to speak of. I will never stay there again. This place is a dump.

Room tip: Avoid the hotel

The rooms looked good but they were dirty.
No WI-FI reception in our room.
Loud music and people making noise. I think they were hosting a party and it made our stay unpleasant. We had to wait for a while before we could find parking space for our vehicle.

In general this hotel is really confortable with massive rooms. The attention to detail is not always visible though.

My lock in my room kept on jamming and I couldn't open it without assistance. Sure this was not the first time it happened.

I had no hot water in the shower, which was extremely uncomfortable.

The staff in general were super friendly and helpful except for the guy at reception who literally took over 10 minutes to print my invoice.

Not bad for a one night stay on a business trip, but I would not recommend it if you are staying for longer.
