We had a lot of fun here, plenty to do and see. Enjoyed the seal and dolphin shows, and the local arts and craft shop outside. Definitely something to do if in Durban. Recommend bringing a waterproof protector for your phone and swimwear to change into once you get there (they have plenty of lockers to store your things as you cannot avoid getting wet - unless you are being a boring spoil-sport of course!
It was great to play like a kid again! The life guards are great and all the rides were functioning.
UShaka Wet 'n Wild is every kids dream! Be prepared though. Sun screen, towels and spending the entire day there is a must. There are so many activities to keep the kids and adults alike busy that you do not realize just how quickly the time goes by. The place is very busy so it is best to get there early to secure a spot. Parking in the area is also a bit of an issue although we managed to find parking at a school close by where you pay R30 to secure parking for the day. Loads of fun and enough activity for even the adrenaline junkies!
We spent the day at Wet 'n wild.
We got their early so didnt have to stand in many queues. They got a bit busier after lunch. We ate lunch at the restuarants in the Village Walk. We heard the food is expensive in the park but you are able to move in and out of the park all day (as long as you keep your arm tag intact.) so it wasnt a problem.
There are lockers for hire so you are able to lock away bags while on the rides.
The only complaint is that people were getting out of hand on the Duzi ride (this was nearer the end of the day) The "lifeguards" or "park assistants" did nothing to stop those that were spoiling it for the rest.
It is a great day out for the kids and adults alike.
Spent a day here recently while traveling through Durban, and the whole family had a lot of fun. Even though it was during the school break, the venue managed to swallow the masses of visitors. Only a couple of the more popular slides had +10 minutes of waiting time. Some more work could be done on cleaning the dressing rooms, and why not raise the ambition level on the food served on the premises? But all in all a fun day out, and ticket prices were reasonable.
Does not disappoint, fun water slides for all ages, my 3yr old loved the baby pool and slide, while her brothers ziped down the fastest slides. But it is not just sliding fun, there are dolphin and seal shows included in the ticket and access to the aquarium. So when the kids are getting tired of swimming or the rain comes down you have another activity. It gets crowded on hot sunny days. But Durban is warm even on cloudy days so that is the best time for this attraction if it is school holidays.
