Love to come here for an early morning breakfast, which is decently priced and made quickly! Staff is always friendly.

Lovely place to relax and chat with an icy cold beverage and gaze over the indian ocean.
Greacraft beers on offer and full bar available.
Food is good and well presented, service is better during the week than on crowded weekends when you quite possibly will wait in line for a table and then be forced to listen to the noisy flutist which is ear piercing and awful he plays non stop on sundays and another busker making a squeaking noise with his mouth.
Id say this is a first choice venue during the week and on weekends i personally will choose to avoid this place because of the invasive noise from buskers outside the restaurant that arrests conversation and any hope of enjoying a relaxing and pretty view.

Been going to Circus Circus on Durban's breachfront for ages and it remains my favourite place for either coffee, breakfast or lunch. Very nice food, great coffee and the venue can't be beaten. Get the loyalty card for money back on your spend and a birthday freebie.

Great location to people watch and enjoy a great cappuccino, if visiting for breakfast, beware of the Lorraine omelette unless your preference is opposite to

It could be my personal preference, but both my wife’s and my omelette arrived lacking in lightness of egg mixture; perhaps it had sat a while after beating before being decanted into the pan, giving it a solid and rubbery texture. The baby plum tomatoes within the fold were uncooked and the onions should have been caramelised as opposed to slightly translucent.

Service was ok, they were quick to bring out some water with a slice of lemon and take the order for our cappuccino, which took a while to arrive, enough for us to query if they were being prepared. Was told there was a queue for coffee and will be out shortly, which it was. I suspect they were forgotten as the omelettes arrived shortly after the order was placed.

After finishing our meal, our waiter was nowhere to be seen for a while and the others seemed to not pay attention, or give assistance to tables not allocated to them.

I must say though that this was my second visit to Circus Circus in a week, the first was with a friend where the service excellent and my lunch on that occasion was delicious.

Need to plan your visit, parking and queues can be a problem if on the weekend and the weather is good.

We sat waiting at the table for seven minutes until we called the manager to ask what was going on. (We timed the wait on the phone timer so we knew exactly how long)
He was a bit offish but then managed to keep us there and the we had a snack. I had a slice of chocolate cake which was good, but a bit higher priced than normal for that size, and my boyfriend had the chicken mayo toasted sandwich which was divine.

The manager turned around that experience and got the best waiter to serve us which was fantastic. But we will not go back there - because what if he is not on shift? Then how long would we spend waiting for good service at what is supposed to be a good restaurant. The staff need better training with that area perhaps.

(We were seated beside the cake station right where all the staff congregated for their tables beverage orders so it is not like we were seated in the corner. We tried to get waiters attention but everyone was "too busy" and simply ignored us.)
