This wetland is toured by a boat. It is a broad river cut off from the ocean by sand bars. It is a beautiful setting, highlighted by the many pods of hippos standing on the muddy bottom. The boat gets very close to these hippos. Another highlight is the huge crocodiles seen swimming along - 8-12feet long. There are also beautiful waterbirds in the marshes. This estuary will eventually die unless it is dredged to reconnect with the sea. Visit it while you can.
