What I can say? The most popular place in center of Pretoria where mostly people take opportunity to exercise in open air. The must visit for tourist, because basically the only old architecture you can see by walking. And of course take a photo with Mandela statue.

Went to see the Union Buildings and the statue of Nelson Mandela. Such a pity the protestors are still being allowed to live on one of the terraces as they are making such a mess which is unhygienic and off-putting to visitors and tourists. While we were there, one of the men who live in the tent dwelling, walking arose the lawn naked with just a cloth across his ‘front’. Not good!

Great lawns and buildings, great views of Pretoria. Unfortunately they did not allow me inside the building.

We visited the garden specifically.
It’s fabulous. Well maintained and neat. A great variety of blooming plants around the garden. Definitely a spot to visit multiple times a year to catch all the different plants in their specific blooming season.
Don’t forget to visit the South African Police memorial at the amphitheater.
There are peaceful protest actions happening at present. Not hostile at all, more to educate about their causes.
Some signs of vandalism at most of the war memorials which is unfortunate.
Otherwise, a great experience

Very nice architecture. Enjoyed our conversation with the Koi-San people advocating for their valid cause.
