As a couple, we stayed at the Panorama Guest House for two nights. We both agree that the stay was one of the most memorable highlights of our three week visit to South Africa. The guest house is situated in a very nice neibourhood on the eastern slope of the Table Mountain, offering the guests the most commented stunning panorama view of the city and mountains beyond. The night view of the city was spectacular and watching sunrise in the horizon, sipping coffee on the balcony in early morning when all was quiet was a rare moment in life.
We stayed in the double room with a balcony, a kitchen and a private bathroom. We loved the room. It is very spacious and well maintained. The bathroom is very new and clean, with a bathtub and a large separate shower. The hosts were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was typical SA, with egg, fruit salad, bacon and sausages, toasts, juice and coffee, freshly prepared and deliciously done. Guests can choose to have the breakfast in the large and very bright dinning room or out on the large patio by the pool, while enjoying the morning sun and panoramic view.
We found that the location of the guest house is very convenient for guests with a car. It has easy access to M3, which leads to the airport or to the Cape of Good Hope. We parked our car outside the guest house, and it seemed to be very safe. The guest house is close to a large shopping multi-story shopping center and is neighbouring the famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, one of the largest in the world. The guest house has a direct access to the trails in the forest, great for having a jog in the morning while admiring some very impressive tree species.
We want to thank Herman and his colleagues for making our stay at the guest house such a memorable experience. Highly recommend it to others and will definitely stay here again next time we visit Cape Town.
