After finishing the Cape Town to Vic Falls tour with Nomad, we were transported back to South Africa to prepare for our 5-day trip into Kruger Park. Nomad put us up in this hotel for the evening- which I think may be owned by the company.
We were already a little bummed that we were staying so far out of Johannesburg on New Year's Eve (we thought we'd be staying in the city proper) but decided to make the best of it!
We put on our swimsuits to hop over to the pool to find it really needed a good clean- so swimming as an option was out. We had a few leftover drinks from our tour, so we thought we'd enjoy those- we were surprised to find we were not allowed to consume our own beverages on site- so that was also out. We thought then that perhaps we would take a nap, only to find that our white sheets and pillow cases had massive yellow wear-stains on them. The ladies were great in getting us new linens, but it was just a few little things that added up to being an overall "eh" stay.More
