We (two adults and one teen) arrived in SA, worn out after long flights from the US. Alistair met us in the arrivals hall and whisked us away to Safari Club, which proved to be the perfect place for us to decompress and try to feel human again. A lovely, peaceful oasis, less than 10 minutes from the airport, gated and secure. We enjoyed lounging on chaises in the garden, and listening to exotic birdsong. Alistair and Josie were very gracious hosts, and our triple room was spacious and extremely comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel, and were treated to an exceptional multi-course feast. And on hearing that we'd be leaving very early to catch another flight, Josie made sure to get us a packed up breakfast for our travels.
Safari Club is a perfect place to stay near the airport, and we will absolutely plan to stay with them again, any time our travels take us to JNB. If we had more time in Johannesburg, I would have loved to get advice/assistance from Alistair and Josie on nearby activities. But for one afternoon during a covid spike, the facilities at Safari Club were wonderful.More
