We often get Indian takeaways from Taste of Punjab in Parkview and the food is always excellent.
They make a lovely non-vegetarian starter combo that consists of a range of lamb and chicken tasters and the samoosas and onion badjis are also good. We usually go for butter chicken and chicken/lamb korma with a garlic naan for a main course because they’re tried-and-trusted favourites.
We occasionally eat at the restaurant and the service complements the high quality of the food. Also, they offer a really delicious pre-starter of poppadums and yummy Indian condiments. And it’s a good idea to go with a reasonable number of friends because then you can order lots of different dishes and explore the different taste options Taste of Punjab offers.
All in all, highly recommended (even though Jackson the boxer has to stay at home…)
TIP: Being North Indian, their food is as much about the aromas as it is about heat of the dishes, so don’t be afraid to venture into medium or hot territory if you like a bit of warmth to your curries.
