Very enjoyable especially for kids between say 7 and 10. even older if your kid is very curious about the world.
Most displays work but a few can be worn out. Also keep an eye out for special events that they host.

We visited Sci Bono yesterday with our two kids - ages 10 and 7 for the holiday programme. The theme was biotech. Our kids went to 4 sessions and learnt about bio-robotics, bio-fuel, enjoyed the biotech science show, and learnt about blood type and blood transfusions. We had a fabulous time! Although it was a Saturday, the centre wasn't too crowded. The holiday programme runs for a couple more weeks and I would highly recommend it for kids ages 6 to 16.

The only trouble with our trip to Sci-Bono was driving through the taxis and one-way streets of downtown Jo'burg. If you are brave enough to drive there, you will have a fabulous day! Our kids are begging to go back and we could have spent three days there. We will definitely be back.

The interactive nature of the displays and intriguing science and math challenges make the Sci-Bono centre a must visit for young and old alike. Future scientists and engineers can discover a passion here that will unlock their destiny. Hours of fun to be had. Interactive sports challenges and a spot for gamer's as well. Coffee bar and good quality food on the premises.

We took my nieces and nephews (ranging in age from 3 to 12 years) for a day out and spend a couple of hours at Sci Bono where they had a great time.
When we were just about to leave a science show was announced and we were entertained by a great 'scientist' who used practical experiments to help the young audience learn about science.
2 cautions if you visit -
Fridays in school terms are crazy with school tours (our kids are home schooled so I would avoid going on a Friday next time)
The lady at the reception wanted to charged me R300 more than I should be paying for entrance, trusting it was an honest mistake but the prices are not clearly advertised there so make sure you know what you are being charged for, or at least ask for a breakdown)
