No flexibility about check it and check out.
As European and Australian flight leave in the evening, you would be tempted to stay for a relaxing day around the pool as the hotel is located in a lovely mountain landscape but kind of nowhere. Unfortunately, the swimming pool does not offer shower, toilet or restaurant facilities to have a last shower prior your flight.
Staff is not always friendly and try contradict themselves, not very well trained.
Last surprise was cash was stolen from few guests attending the wedding but staff does not seem interested and will not fire the employee involved in those thieves if found.
Also, staff call us back 2 hours after check in to challenge the payment of our rooms which we did 1 month prior our stay by bank transfer.
Worst experience in SA during our 10 days trip there

Room tip: Massive room in moder cemented building

Good Day

I trust that this email finds you well.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for raising your concerns and bringing important areas for improvement to our attention. It is very important for us at Thaba Eco Hotel to be aware of such feedback and to ensure that our valued guests are always our first and foremost priority, as our aim is to offer our guests an unforgettable experience.

As promised, our investigation into your report that money went missing from your room is being taken very seriously as we have not had such an incident in the past. We are obtaining statements from all employees who entered suites 328/326 and 321. As our employees who work over weekends take time off early in the week, we hope to complete this before the end of the week.

The statements will be compared to the Saflock Key Card Register signed by our employees as well as the Saflok Key Card Lock Interrogation Report which will show all key cards used and times of entry into your suites. This information will be used to decide on further action including Polygraph tests.

We would appreciate it if you would let us have a bit more time to complete a thorough investigation of all the aspects that you mentioned. We will communicate with you again on Friday.

Kind Regards
ESTHER

One of the best hotels in SA by far. Had a great time. All the staff were extremely professional and courteous as well as efficient. The rooms were private as well and had great views. The bar also has a large selections of liquers & wines.

My husband and I went on the morning game drive and share the breakfast picnic afterwards. Our guide, Andre, was very informative, answering ever questions each of us had. The land is well maintained giving you the feeling you are deep within the bush veld. This drive is great for reconnecting with nature. The picnic afterwards was amazing, it is really a three hour eating experience. My compliments to the kitchen, they never disappoint.

Room tip: Their eco rooms sound amazing.
