This hotel is located in an oasis in Johannesburg. It is very cool in design and layout. The staff could not be friendlier or try harder. From the reception staff to the barista to the manager, everybody seem to do go the extra mile. Lovely breakfasts also. Strongly recommended.
Battled at check-in. Battled. Rude and abrupt, only about whether paid. They saw I had paid them nice to me.
Room was not good, needs to have work done. there is no care here.

I stayed here not so long ago and the experience is lost. Lost.
The hotel wasn't great itself. They didn't give us adjoining rooms or even have a room with two beds for the kids until we asked. Then the kids room ended up being across the hall. Hotel and restaurant were pretty loud on the weekend, so be careful. Worst of all, woman at the front desk recommended a "park" down the road for us to visit. It wasn't a park first of all and then we got robbed on our way back to the hotel. Don't go outside the gated area the hotel is in as the neighborhood is not safe. I don't think the hotel staff really look out for tourists that don't know how bad Joberg can be.
We had a weekend staycation at the Junior Suite. Room is carpeted. Separate bedroom and living hall. Bath and shower. Two TVs, one small fridge and coffee machine.
Received two complimentary drinks upon arrival. Nice fitness center. Request for a late checkout was granted. Overall stay was good but the dusty carpet is the only negative thing.
I called the hotel from the US to get a copy of a receipt. I could barely hear them and they told me I had to request it via email. When I asked for the email address I couldn't understand anything they were saying. I went to their website and there is nothing there either. It is very frustrating that I could not make that request over the phone. Very unhappy with the wait of the call and the inability to assist. I had to call twice which was not free and nothing was accomplished.
