One of the best hotels around joburg,the treatment is world class,very secure and clean.professionalism at its best,its also good that they are vigilant with Covid-19 regulations which makes the place very safe to be at during this pandemic

The staff at the hotel treated us like family. Hotel manager Tania, Nonnie, and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. We visited during the beginning of the coronavirus and they were always very helpful with information and helping us figure out travel plans. There are many unique lounges, Apple computers, nice bar inside with outside seating near pool, good restaurant and room service, cool milkshake bar, and the best breakfast spread we had during our trip to South Africa. I wholeheartedly thank Tania and her staff for a great stay!
The hotel design is just fabulous, i was amazed with my room, so beautiful and cosy.
Staff is very kind.
Hotel is located in the best area of Jo-Burg, awesome restaurants and shops around, all within walking distance. Amazing!!
We spent two nights there, standard room with bathroom with large shower opened to the bedroom, WC separate, not my favourite set-up. Medium size room (they're all the same), tacky black and white "Hollywood-stars" décor. Smaller hotel lobby, not easy for groups of tourists, or fills up when an airline crew moves in. In Santon, ultra secured area, far from the centre of Johannesburg. We did room service for dinner, which was fine, and reasonably priced. I felt like a "wanna-be" hotel, décor probably cost a lot of money for a pretentious result.

The Protea Hotel Fire & Ice Johannesburg Melrose Arch is located close to central Johannesburg and Sandton city.
It is close to the Wanderes cricket grounds which is a short drive away.
The Hotel caters for business travellers and has a shopping mall within a 5 minute walk from the Hotel.
The restaurant has a wide variety of dining and adequate breakfast selections.

Excellent Hotel that is located in a great location that offers shopping and restaurants all walking distance away from the hotel. Rooms are comfy and average room size. Hot breakfast is available but sometimes it gets very busy and hard to order a beverage during peak times.
