We stayed at the Amanzi Guesthose for nearly 2 months after relocating from Switzerland and before settling in to our own home. It was the best choice ever – the place is very child friendly (there are dogs, a pool and lots of open spaces outside), the area is safe, a beautiful park is in walking distance and most important of all - Pam, Rob, Deli, Tabbang and Leana are just amazing. It felt like a family to us and they were very helpful and kind. We would recommend staying there to anyone!

Dear Beahauselmann

How much we enjoyed having your family stay with us! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Amanzi. It was such fun to see your children "helping" the Gardiner sweep, and your son assisting with "pruning" and cutting dead leaves! We loved hosting you, and miss you all!
Wishing you all the best in your new home

The Amanzi team

I chose Amanzi as a landing spot for my first 3 weeks in Johannesburg, as I had just relocated to RSA for work. It was a great alternative to staying at a hotel as it offered similar quality of service and independence, but with a more personal feel when it comes to decor and amenities. The studio is kept clean and fully equipped, and the staff are friendly and always available to help. True to form, Pam, Rob, Leanne and Ryan are lovely attentive hosts and fun neighbors!

Amanzi is my home away from home in Jo'burg. A beautiful, quiet garden oasis in a pretty suburban area, the rooms/apartments are spacious, well-appointed, and very well cared for. Rob and Pam, owners of Amanzi, are warm, friendly, gracious hosts, attentive to and very respectful of their guests. Feels like family there. The daily breakfast is fantastic - the staff cooks to order, along with cereals, fruit, fresh coffee and home-made bread - served in a solarium dining room overlooking the front garden. There is a grocery, wine shop and several good cafes/restaurants within a short walk. The international employees of our company always stay at Amanzi when in Jo'burg. Private, safe and inviting. Highly recommended!

My 3rd trip here over the last few years, this time pleasure not for business. I have never stayed anywhere that feels so much like home from home. Pam, Rob and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are very good, breakfast is lovely and always freshly cooked. It's so peaceful and quiet, surrounded by trees it feels like you are in the country yet still very convenient for the city. Would thoroughly recommend.

Amanzi is a great city escape with excellent pre-arrival logistics ensuring our trip from Harare to Johannesburg was with ease of mind. The location is set in a secure quiet residential suburb within a 30 minutes drive radius (outside of traffic) of amenities we needed including shopping malls, restaurants and well stocked book shops.

We booked into an open plan town house apartment, which was fresh, modern, well maintained and with a balcony view over looking their tendered small garden.

Loved the tranquil escape in a generally busy city, and the only pet hate was being caught in traffic on one of our drive out 10 minutes away from the lovely place.

Room Tip: Apartments are best for singles and or couples with cottage options best for families.
