We stayed at SUN 1 Bloemfontein from 30/12/18 till 3/1/19. This is our 3rd time we booked in at the hotel.We were assured that the bedding is changed daily however this was not the case. When we booked in the floor was nor properly swept. There was hair on the floor from previous visitors. An item we left at the hotel was stolen. When we inquired about the missing item we were told there was nothing that could be done about it.We requested an extra pillow and was told the hotel is fully booked there is nothing available however there was hardly any cars. There is no lifts so you have to carry your own luggage up the stairs. We struggled with the door twice during our stay. The 2nd time the card to unlock the door did not work as they claimed we had been booked out even though we had still 2 nights remaining which we paid for. We will be regular visitors to Bloemfontein but not sure if we will go back to SUN 1. Very disappointed in the service.

I always stay over in Bloemfontein whenever I travel to and from the Cape. I've been a regular client of Formula/Sun 1 since the 90's. I've never been disappointed with the service I receive and will continue using Sun 1 in the future.

Although the setup was great, very modern and your choice of a smoking or non smoking room,
I am very disappointed with the service.
We arrived at Sun1 in Bloemfontein after a long drive from Jeffery's bay. We were unable to sleep until about 3am, because there was a group of people outside in the hall fighting, screaming and slamming doors. We went outside once and were too afraid to interfere so we returned to our room. We were unable to reach receiption after calling many times. We went outside once more and saw the security guard and thought we were finally going to be able to get some sleep. But all he did was look at them and left again.

This morning we talked to the person at the reception desk and told him about our terrible experience and how we now have to continue driving without much sleep.
He only said that he was sorry and did not look too worried about his clients being dissatisfied and did not offer any compensation. It was horrible and without much concern for our terrible experience, I would not recommend this place.
