We were booked in by a travel agent after we requested a place close to the centre. It was far from the centre of town so it did not even have that going for it. The rooms were shocking. My fellow traveling companions room did not even have a duvet cover and many of the lights and plugs in my room did not work. When we arrived at 9 pm we were advised that all the restaurants in the area had closed and that they did not offer food. They offered us some tea but the milk was sour. The breakfast area was so grimy I couldn't eat the breakfast. Don't go!

Room Tip: There aren't any

Our room was clean and nicely decorated. On arrival we were received a warm welcome. Thabo the gentlemen on duty where very friendly and helpful. Excellent location with easy access from the N1. Would have been nice if the WiFi extended to our room, but we enjoyed our stay, will recommended this place to other travellers.

We stayed there for a stop over evening. The staff were really friendly and helpful, Thabo even brought us a braai with crockery and cutlery. But unfortunately thats where the positives stopped. Bedding was terrible with rock hard pillows. Our shower was spraying over the wall into the bathroom. Our friends stayed in a room with only a dry wall separating them from their neighbours, having them with their kids hearing the neighbours getting on with the nasty at 03h00. The poor kids had to sleep in the parents bed because the bunk bed makes a racket everytime they moved. Appropriately we wont be staying there again when in Bloem.

The Lodge was clean, cozy and staff was very polite and welcoming
during my stay i felt safe as a solo traveler and there was a very nice staff member working at reception when i arrived very late the one evening
It was close to where i had to be.

A traveller of ours stayed at the lodge. he was booked in from 10 - 13 Feb. Everything in his room was broken (including the TV). Shower was a pipe coming out of the wall with no curtain or doors - water everywhere. The linen was dirty and so it goes on.
So the decision was made to move out on the 11th and move to another hotel. When he returned to collect his luggage, to his horror, all the furniture had been moved out on the lawn, and they were painting the room. They did not have the decency to move his very expensive suit out of the way. It was lying on a chair in the room and they just painted around it. When he complained, he was told it is routine maintenance and that he would just have to understand. I have NEVER heard of anything like this. Needless to say, our companies travellers will not be staying there again!!!
