Owner description: When the first review was submitted on our behalf, they listed St Francis Links as Jack Nicklaus at St Francis Links IN Port Elizabeth. through pretty good promotion and customer awareness, we have managed to get some great reviews and even the 2014 Certificate of Excellence - rated No. 2 with 5-starts behind the great attraction Shamwari. However, we are located outside Port Elizabeth in St Francis Bay. I am very happy with the reviews; however, if your search St Francis Links in St Francis Bay, you will not find us. If you search attractions, it asked for a city...when I search St Francis Bay, South Africa, St Francis Links will not appear. Please advise how I can maximize my presence with tripadvisor. I am not unhappy - just seeking the best Portal.

The St Francis Links golf course is a "must play". Stunning Jack Nicklaus design and in magnificent condition. Definitely not easy, but once you select the right set of tees, it is most enjoyable. Very cleverly designed holes. Risk and reward, but you can also just play it safe down the middle. The hospitality of the legendary Jeff and Liezl Clause is also something out of this world. You will be sorry if you stay on the N2. Take the short trip to St Francis, it is special!

The golf experience at The Links must be rated as one of the best in the world due to not only a remarkable course but due to the golfing experience created by the manager,Jeff and his team.
From the moment you arrive at the course you are treated as a VIP and the treatment remains on this level throughout the day.
If other clubs could follow their example golf will flourish.
For every golfer this is an experience not to be missed.

We played this course a year ago and again today. It is beautifully integrated between the dunes and fynbos, every hole different and very separate from the others. It's a tough ladies' course, but still fun to play. You will lose balls as you're not expected to search for them in the fynbos. As last year, we were put out in a two amidst four balls. This was the only downside as it was excruciating waiting for every shot, the same as last year ☹️.
The pro was particularly unfriendly on the day we played, but everyone else was very pleasant and helpful. Nice snack meals at the restaurant upstairs and one of the swankiest clubhouses you will see.

Friendly efficient and warm welcome. For such a prestigious course the atmosphere was relaxed. The course, varied and pretty challenging in the wind - which I understand was quite calm on the day we played. Lunch with a beer on the balcony following the game chatting to other visiting players. A high light of our trip so far.

A day trip to the St Francis Links Golf Estate is a magical experience. From the person who appreciates an impeccably conditioned golf course to the person who is mesmerized by the intelligent architecture to the person who enjoys a rainbow like diversity of flowers and wildlife, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the St Francis Links Golf Estate.
One should start their day off with 18 holes of golf. The cheerful caddies always keep you well, they will take your bags from your car down to the golf carts. Check your self in at the pro shops downstairs then find the locker with your name on it in the change room. Enjoy your golf by taking in the lush vegetation and peaceful views. Watch out for snakes! After your round have a shower in the marble laced bathrooms and then head up to the bar and have some lunch and a cold one, all while admiring a panoramic view of the bay. If a current member has invited you you may be treated to a game of pool at the Leisure Centre. This centre also has 25 meter long swimming pool that is heated and can also be covered. If you are still at the course by evening you should treat yourself to dinner at the Lighthouse Restaurant. On Mondays and Wednesday evenings the Links Dinner and Curry night, respectively, are very tasty and affordable.
If you are staying more than one day book yourself in at the St Francis Links Lodge. The 4th and 5th tee boxes are also lovely spots for sundowners or sun-uppers.
The St Francis Links Golf Estate is a breathtaking experience so much so you might even want to buy a house there!
