Had a lovely stay at Milkwood, the hotel staff were friendly and informative, also situated right on the beach and the view from the room is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and breakfast was also lovely. You can walk across the beach to The Lookout Deck, which is very popular restaurant as well. They also washed our car for us, which is an awesome service provided by the hotel. Will definitely stay here again!

Milkwood Manor is in a premium location in Plett right near the Lookout Cafe with a boardwalk to the beach. There is also a nice restaurant located on premises. The place is great value for money and has great service! Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a great deal in Plett!

Nice guest house on the beach, helpful staff. The room was small but clean and suitable for our 1 night stay. Breakfast was average. The best thing about Milkwood manor is the location it’s beautiful, set on a white sandy beach. Worth a visit for a short stay .

We stayed at Milkwood Manor on Sea in Plettenberg Bay for 1-night in mid-Oct ($110). The manor, tucked away by a rocky headland, was a beautiful yellow gem on the edge of the sea. It faced the Indian Ocean, with a lagoon to the side separated from the sea by a low sand dune. The building was square, with a parking area at the entrance (secured by fence and gate) and a nicely landscaped garden (beautiful protea, among other plants) facing the beach. The ground floor had reception, the restaurant and some of the rooms. There was a central atrium, with stairs to the second floor, where there was a lounge and doors and passageways leading to the rest of the rooms.

Our 2nd floor room, with a balcony and garden view, was modern in design, crisp, white, bright and new. It was moderate in size, with 2 twin beds pushed together, side tables with lamps, desk and chairs, a chest, and corner shelving for the coffee maker. There was AC and an overhead fan, mini-fridge and a tiny wall-mounted TV. Everything was modern and new, including windows with complete seals and dual opening functions. The end of the room was entirely window or patio doors, enhancing the lightness of the white and off-white decor. The balcony was great – Room #9 was the only garden view room that actually had beautiful sea views across the beach and to the headland beyond. It was spacious with a large table, 2 chairs and a potted palm. The bathroom was large with bright white tiling, a stand-alone claw-foot tub, a large shower and plenty of shelving.

Breakfast was very good, with a choice of fruits, juices, breads, smoked salmon and cheeses, plus a full choice of hot items – English breakfast, omelettes, eggs Benedict – all served in a room with a beautiful ocean view. The same space became the Lemon Grass Restaurant in the evening (not affiliated with the hotel) – very good food with entrees at R100-200.

Another nice touch was a free car wash every morning. Beautiful location, helpful staff and spotless and comfortable rooms. Recommended.
