“Old charm”

St Peters Anglican Church
Reviewed 28 October 2016

Visit a piece of local history, both chapel and main church are open to public, the gardens are well-kept with all varieties of proteas. There are also some old graves

We spent a few hours one sunny winter's afternoon visiting various historical sites in Plettenberg Bay.

The church and its grounds are peaceful and relaxed, and have a view down onto the coastline - not something many churches can boast about!

We only found out about this wonderful wooden church because we were geo caching in the area. what a fabulous find in the middle of the forest. We had played golf at Plettenberg Bay Country Club and commented on the small graveyard in the middle of the back 9 holes. St. Andrews was hiding just on the hill in the thick of the woods.

We have christened all of our children her because we love this church so much. I don't think any further detail would help. The gardens are tranquil and the view is amazing. You should get married her it would be amazing.

If you are anything of a beginner, intermediate or advanced photographer you need to visit this end of Church street in Plettenberg Bay. The building itself, the arch with the clock, the sundial and the gardens are an inspiration to any photographer. For landscape or close up, there is plenty of chouces for good images. On a sunny day, and if you have that specific interest, infrared images come out really well. The interior is dark but with a tripod also allows for beautiful images
