Description: The only Boutique Wine Estate Restaurant slap bang in the middle of The Garden Route! Enjoy an afternoon of locally produced handcrafted wines and our award winning fine bubbly, tapas , cheeses, meats, pates and more all served with freshly baked homemade breads and polished off with a decadent dessert. We now have a new picnic area and you can see elephants roaming, bookings essential. We love to serve food that is seasonal and that reflects our local farmers in the area. Set in the beautiful Bramon vineyards and overlooking the Tsitsikamma mountains and The Elephant Sanctuary. Everything we do is guided by our vision that homemade and fresh produce is always better. In Preparing our dishes we are making sure we use as much of our local produce as possible.

We were looking forward to eating lunch at Bramon but found it disappointing. The very poor state of the dirt road to the restaurant might have warned us. We arrived precisely at the booked time of 13.00. The rose wine we wanted was out of stock but the substituted sauvignon was fine. It took 45 minutes for the food requested (all of it cold) to arrive and to be told that the carpaccio ordered wasn't available and we ordered a substitute. The tapas were dull, the bread so over-baked as to be difficult to eat, the avocado and parmesan salad very uninteresting and over-priced. It then took 20 minutes for the coffee to arrive despite the restaurant being quite empty. The ambiance is equalled or bettered by most wine estates. Not recommended.

Dear JJSBROWN,

Thanks for sending us your review which we take seriously as we always do with our customers . I am sure you also will understand that we are an operating wine farm with tractors, trucks deliveries and many large vehicles trailers going up and down that dirt road that leads to the restaurant. We do apologise that you came during the worst period where the road had to endure rain, trucks, tractors, wild life, during our harvest time and part of the road was unfortunately taking a proper beating. I am sure you understand we try to keep it it in a "as a good state" possible, trying not to TAR the road and keeping the authenticity and charm of the working farm alive.

We are very sorry to hear that your food was cold, however after checking with Nadia, who was on duty and served your table she informed us that certainly the food served warm however a lot of cold dishes were ordered as well. We apologise for the carpaccio that we run out of ( same as the rose, as we have had such a great season) , we have been so busy that we are clearly ran out of stock. In relation to our bread, which we are famous for by the way, and as you can understand people are different, we would have given you a less crispy one only if you would have informed us there and then that you were not happy with it ( by the way at presentation of the bill you would have noticed the bread was not charged ). We are very sorry you had such a bad experience however we would like to say that the energy from the moment you came in contact with our well trained staff was already, to say it lightly , not positive, which was picked up by our sensitive staff that deal with people every day and are trained to feel and understand the emotions from all our visitors. Clearly the road was so unacceptable to you that even top service would have not satisfied your demands, and expectations.

We hope that you will come back one day to give us another chance, so we can show you that we have many many happy customers and you will not be disappointed when you arrive. Please send us your email address and we will keep you informed of the road conditions, so we can start with positive energy when arriving at the restaurant.

We hope to hear from you soon, you can contact us at therestaurant@bramonwines.com

Positive regards,

The Bramon Team

This year we stayed in their Waterfall Cottage which is lovely and very interesting but as they agreed could do with some TLC which they confirm they will do by 2021.
We also had a lovely Tapas and Fresh Bread lunch in their vines with their excellent wines which we have always visited over many years and can highly recommend.

Divine! Sitting between the grape-vines sipping bubbles and eating absolutely delicious tapas on a sunny afternoon at Bramon was an experience to remember. Excellent service by our waiter Jade. We loved the pear and blue cheese salad, the watermelon relish and the bobotie cigars. Highly recommended.

Very nice late lunch between the wines. Tapas had a very nice portion size an tasted really good. We had a bootle of Sauvignon B, which is a nice wine, although not my favorite style.
