We visited Bramon regularly in the past but this was our first visit since the new owners took over.
Bramon has a policy where bookings are made in 2 hour time slots. When making our booking we were told that only inside tables were available. We would have preferred to sit outside in the vineyard. On our arrival at 11:00 for the 11:00 to 13:00 time slot we noticed that all of the outside tables were open. On our second request we were allowed to move to one of the vacant vineyard tables.
It is clear that a lot of effort is still put in but the attention to detail and the quality of the products are not as before.
The home-baked bread used to be soft and fresh and one of my favourite items. On this occasion the bread was tough and stale.
The grilled parmesan in the salad was thick and clumpy. This used to be thin and crispy. The lettuce in the salad was brown on the edges.
Two of the plates our food was served in were chipped. At that price i expect more.
