We visited Kichaka to celebrate our 20th anniversary and it was an experience of a lifetime. From the point of arrival to departure we were treated like royalty. The staff are so amazing and accommodating. We were so spoiled for our anniversary, the staff ran a bubble bath full of rose petals and scattered petals on our bed and left us a bottle of champagne on ice. The food was amazing and there was so much of it on offer for the all inclusive price! I also had several spa treatments and they were wonderful and relaxing. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated and had an amazing view of the watering hole. We could hear lions roar from our veranda. It was quite spectacular and ever so romantic. Our guide Jonty did his utmost to make sure we saw all of the game we wanted to see and all of the staff were brilliant. An experience of a lifetime. I have blogged about our trip on Wordpress, my blog name is KittenInTheCity.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The service levels are exceptional and our game ranger's knowledge was beyond expectation. We travel to similar lodges regularly and was wonderfully surprised that he tought us things we didn't know. Thank you Jonty! Excellent. Food was good and they catered to all our dietary needs. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Will recommend it to all.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the hippo dam.

Had an amazing time on our honeymoon - the accommodation was clean, modern, very peaceful and the housekeeping staff were very attentive.

The game rides were terrific with Jason leading the way, very good selection of animals in what they consider a much smaller and personal game park compared to Kruger (still the size of Cambridge so pretty big in my opinion!) Only around 10 rooms in the place so a much more personal and intimate vibe which I would choose any day over a large hotel.

Particularly liked the way they greeted you every time you entered the hotel from a ride with a warm towel and a nice stiff drink.

Food was fantastic and always lots of it! I have dietary requirements and they catered beautifully for them (no diary). Great selection of African dishes, Italian and even Asian food.

Would strongly recommend for any couple or family!

I never managed to write a review after my honeymoon but I've never forgotten about my experience. It was a truly unforgettable experience from the amazing food to the thrilling game drives with Chris. The food was simply divine and the homemade chips on game drives were lovely. I loved them so much I asked for them everyday and there was never a no they were made fresh for me when ever I requested this. All I can say is that this was truly magical honeymoon and really hope to return in the future. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and to all the staff who were outstanding.

This place is the place of dreams, nothing can prepare you for the beauty and serenity of this place through from the opulent although gorgeous homely setting of the lodge to the beautiful individual lodges. The staff are extremely attentive although never evident as such you feel immediately welcome and this radiates through your whole stay. The rangers are extremely knowledgable and again nothing is too much trouble and they will go above to ensure you see as much as you ever dreamed possible. Their knowledge of the flora and fauna of the reserve and their intimate knowledge of the reserve as a whole is amazing. Our thanks in this instance for our brilliant guide Ben. Overall this is a place of dreams and the staff make sure they come true. Thank you to Keith the manager of the reserve you and your staff make this an unforgettable stay in every pleasant way possible.
