A very peaceful and safe place. Best night sleep ever. Slept with door wide open. Fully equipped log cabin. Ample parking including trailers. Just 4km out of town, perfect. Beautiful view of the valley.

My husband and I arrived at A Stone's Throw door late (after 6.30pm) and without a booking, However, Suzanne immediately welcomed us and settled us into a very comfortable cottage.
This was clean and cosy and Suzanne made sure that milk was available with the supplied hot drink sachets.
The shower was pressurized and a pleasure after a long days' driving.
Payment was quick and easy with the cellphone technology Suzanne uses and the room was at a very affordable rate.
We left early the next morning but would definitely return.
The location is a few KM outside of the city centre but easy to find with a GPS.

it is a stones throw from the town views to die for very clean and well looked after would be great for a family to stay in if you where self catering will be even better when they can offer breakfast was a bit over priced compare to other places we stayed in secure parking

Room tip: if self catering great

We stayed in Room 5. It was dirty. Old grime. No hot water. It smelled of stale sweat. It is definitely not worth R900 + This is more like R400/R500 accommodation. The lady that received us was extremely friendly and helpful though.

Thank you Gideon - we do value our guests feed-back both positive and negative and your input has highlighted a few areas we can aim to improve upon. As discussed in my email to you we would love to have you stay again at a reduced rate on your next visit for your inconvenience and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you. Kind regards from Suzanne and the team at A Stone's Throw and 30 on Oatlands Accommodation.
