Clean and comfortable rooms. I didn’t like the pillows, though. The main lodge is very nice, with entertainment and lectures.
There is a hourly shuttle to the little town of Talkeetna, more shops and restaurants. Try Shirley’s ice cream there. Not much else around the lodge besides a gift shop and several restaurants.

The rooms were adequate. The views of McKinley were breathtaking. The food however, was sub par at best. Dinner for four was sent back several times. They never got it right. The food was cold and undercooked after being told they would make it over. They really need a new cook. Next mornings breakfast was cold coffee and no milk. When the milk arrived the coffee was too cold to add the milk to. Instead of new, hot coffee, they brought cups of hot water to warm the cups, but still no coffee. After asking some of the other guests, they all agreed the food was sub par. Sadly, the lodge is in the wilderness and there is no other place to eat.

We got the rare treat of seeing Denali fully unveiled. Hotel was clean and staff was very polite. Rooms are comfortable and rustic. We were surprised by no air conditioning. Had to sleep with the windows open because the room was stuffy. Nights get quite cool so that was fine. It did cause us to worry about bears a bit .

Princess owned lodge. Best views of Mt McKinley. Rooms were adequate. Several restaurants on property. Area with stone firepits for a social setting. Treehouse on property built by Treehouse masters. Wildlife around lodge. also. Motor coaches available for tours.

This property was between average and very good. It was definitely better than the Denali Princess Lodge. I liked that it had public hot tubs and fire pits. Again I expected better from Princess. The restaurants were good.
