Top location in Lagoon with direct view of Mt. Otemanu. Excellent staff & facilities.
The Resort even when full, seems secluded due to the large expanse of their grounds. Views, Overwater Bungalows, Service, etc. Make your reservation now!

This was hands down the best vacation experience that we've ever had. My wife and I like to stay at nicer or boutique places when we travel and the Four Seasons Bora Bora is #1 in our books! From the moment we boarded the water taxi (Four Seasons owned) the service was first class. We were given a tour of the grounds and then escorted to our room where we were blown away by the beauty and uniqueness.

There were some previous reviews about the food which is the primary reason that we chose the Four Seasons and we can honestly say we never had a bad meal. In fact, is was some of the best resort cuisine we've ever had. All of the fish was cooked perfectly and seemed extremely fresh. Please please please, if you're reading about food on other posts, trust me, choose the Four Seasons and you will be 100% blown away!

Lastly, it was pretty incredible that from the moment we arrived the staff already knew our names. Beauty, preparation, cleanliness, and service are all first class at this resort and we will definitely be back soon!!!

Thank you Four Seasons!!!

Gorgeous rooms, impeccable service. Be prepared to throw away your wallet, but everything is so perfect you might not notice.

The resort's layout is super appealing. Bungalows are relatively private. The main grounds on the motu have plenty of beautiful nooks and crannies to explore. The pool is wonderfully inviting. Breakfast is fabulous with local touches. No location at the resort hasn't been perfectly thought out and refined.

You won't regret it!

We had another amazing stay at the beautiful FS Bora Bora.
At the bottom, I have included some minor suggestions for improvement to bring to the attention of management and also for reference for the more discerning traveler.
But let’s start with all the good stuff.
Hamsa checked us in, he was the most outstanding staff member that we met this trip. (Probably the only outstanding one this time).
They had the room ready early which was nice and, being our honeymoon, they very kindly upgraded our room.
Our last visit was in 2013; nothing has changed with the quality of the room. Beautiful, clean and spacious.
Daily service is excellent - small touches like folding your clothes and neatly wrapping up all your power cords were a nice plus.
The resort overall is beautiful. Stretches of soft sand and beach are sparse, but that’s not a big deal given the lagoon location.
We mostly ate room service but did have dinner twice at the sunset bar, spectacular sunset views and good sushi. staff is.

The resort overall is beautiful. Stretches of sand and beach are sparse. Having the ocean at your doorstep in overwater bungalows makes the beach less important. But if you are looking to take a mile or two beach walk or run, it’s not gonna happen here.
It is, however, much more crowded on the small strand of beach than it was during our last visit in 2013. Loungers are crowded together, but plentiful.

We mostly ate room service but did have dinner twice at the sunset bar, spectacular sunset views and good sushi.

Staff overall is very nice, although not comparable to the 3 Maldives Four Seasons experiences. They largely stay out of your way but are pleasant if they pass by. Aside from Hamsa, I can’t really say any staff went out of their way to know the guests like they do in all of the Maldives locations.

Overall, an outstanding stay and we will be back. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Bora Bora

Now for the discerning traveler and for management, some items that can be improved upon. Hopefully they will by the next time we come :)

1) Really would be a great idea for the GM or someone else to go spend a few days at Four Seasons Landaa Giravaru in the Maldives. Bring that experience back to FS Bora Bora.
2) In the 3 days different Maldives Four Seasons experiences, staff all knew guests by name. They even knew your breakfast meal orders from the previous day! Sure, none of that is essential — but it’s one of things that makes the difference between a Hilton and a Four Seasons.
4). Watersports team was completely disinterested. In 2013, they knew our names and always took our equipment from us as we approached the shore. This time, they would just stand around while we lugged our kayak or paddleboard out of the water. We’re young and fit so we personally don’t care. But this is what separates 3-star service from 5-star service. The watersports team is running at 3-Stars. Equipment is (usually) available but that’s about it.
5). Daily breakfast Buffet is adequate but could be way better. Servers are present but not very attentive - you sometimes have to walk up to them to order drinks.
6) Walkways are really narrow and very very busy with carts (we didn’t recall that from 2013). We couldn’t take a nice walk hand in hand from our room to shore without having to get out of the way and stop single-file a few times per walk. This was very different from the 4 other overwater bungalow experiences we have had before (Landaa Guravaru and Kuda Hura in the Maldives as well as Liku Liku in Fiji). Romantic strolls become less romantic if you have to stop every 25 feet and hug the railing single file in order to avoid the constant golf carts.
7). Room service food is really average at best and selection is quite limited. We recalled it being much better in 2013. Certainly not on par with other Four Seasons rooms service (we have stayed at a lot of Four Seasons and we use room service often).
8). Wines were out of stock often. Sure it’s an island, but again this did not happen at other Four Seasons island resorts.
9) There is some construction going on (building of a large new structure) and there was also some heavy landscaping and tree cutting all of this past week. This all is temporary, but worth asking about in advance of your trip.

Again, these are minor items that many travelers won’t even notice. But because we have had more than a few Four Seasons experiences (including 3 of them in a very comparable location - the Maldives), we noticed and we hope that next time we come visit, these items will have improved :)

Four Seasons Resort is stunning. We arrived at Bora Bora airport and were greeted by Four Seasons staff then they provided a luxury boat to take us to the resort. On arrival our registration was good. Had to wait for our room but not an issue as you can go and explore. The resort staff are great and very helpful. Breakfast was great with a good variety of food. Entertain was good - we enjoyed watching a movie on the beach at night lying in a deck chair - they also provided popcorn (my husband was delighted) . We also spotted the one and only octopus in the lagoon (very excited about that - I will post a photograph on Four Seasons site). We loved the experience and might return again once we have saved up enough money. Expense but well worth it. Thumbs up to Four Seasons

Room Tip: We stayed in room 232 - overlooking the sea. Nice and quiet and alot of privacy. There were rooms with your own pool which would be great.
