“Wonderful Villa and owners”
Reviewed 30 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The villa was beautiful with air conditioning in the living room and 3 out of 4 bedrooms, which kept us cool whenever we were indoors. Secure locks and we could lock the outside gate for extra security. Mr and Mrs Alp were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay, arranging taxis, round trip transfers, welcome packs, fixing whatever needed a repair straight away, and even arranging massages for us at the local bath house. The villa was very clean and there were plenty of clean towels. Spacious living room and the two bathrooms made everything so much easier. And the pool and garden was stunning and cleaned daily. Really wonderful people and such a beautiful location. Thank you, will definitely be back one day.

The Villa is wonderful extremely clean and very well equipped with air conditioning in most rooms . The garden is quite private with a good sized well maintained pool. Its near to a couple of bars/restaurants and a mini market which is handy. It's about a ten minutes walk to the town centre with a good choice of restaurants and shops and also the picturesque river . The owner Alp is very helpful and arranges airport transfers if you wish .The whole booking process and transfers went very smoothly we would certainly return again

“Fabulous holiday in Dalyan”
Reviewed 29 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We visited Dalyan, and stayed at Villa Beste, for two weeks in August 2016 with our 5 young children aged between 3 and 11.

Villa Beste is in a good location a short walk from Daylan's centre. It's probably a good 10 minutes right to the heart of the town but you are only a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. There is a small corner shop on the next corner that we used for water and beer etc, but there are a few bigger supermarkets in Dalyan where we did bigger shops, as well as butchers and greengrocers that we used for meat and fruit/veg.

First impressions of Villa Beste were good. The owner was waiting at the villa when we arrived in our airport transfer minibus and quickly showed us around and left. The villa is a decent size and was plenty big enough for the 7 of us. The lounge and kitchen area are well equipped. The pool is lovely and was more than big enough for us.

One thing worth noting is that there is air conditioning in the downstairs, and 2 of the bedrooms only. The other 2 bedrooms have fans only. This is clearly stated on the description of the villa but I hadn't really noticed. It was a bit of a heatwave when we arrived and so the 2 bedrooms without air-con were really sweltering and the fan was doing little but push the hot air around the rooms. The double bedroom on the top floor was the hottest but the owner did come back and open the window up there for us to at least allow some air in. After a couple of days the heat dropped a little and the rooms were then more bearable. In the meantime we got around it by wetting our hair before going to bed to cool off!

The air conditioning in the other bedrooms and downstairs was a little temperamental but we called the owner a couple of times and he came out and made it work again.

We also found the DVD player not to be working (which we used quite a lot as the kids would have a break from the sun with a movie most days). The owner came and brought us a new one straight away.

The entrance to the villa is gated and you can lock the gate so you do feel quite secure. The front door has a variety of locks on it and feels secure, however the back door less so, but it was fine anyway. There is a decent porch before the front door which was useful for our buggy and array of shoes.

The inside of Villa Beste did feel a little bit tired in places, but that is reflected in the price and is made up for by the location.

The pool area was brilliant and we spent much of our time there. The outdoor table was much too small so for the duration of our stay we swapped it for the indoor one and then we were able to all fit around it for our meals.

There were only 5 sun loungers which wasn't a problem for us as the children didn't really use them but may be an issue if 6 adults came to the villa. There were also only 6 chairs around the outdoor table (despite being a villa that sleeps 7) but that was also fine for us as we used the highchair for our smallest child.

There is a reasonable sized garden with plenty of washing line and pegs so very handy to hang up wet towels and clothes etc. We used the washing machine a fair bit and that worked well, along with the dishwasher.

The BBQ is only a very small portable one which we were a bit disappointed to see when we first arrived however it worked fine and we alternated BBQs at the villa with eating out in Dalyan. We had the majority of our lunches and breakfasts at the villa and found plenty of good bread, meats, cheeses, humous etc in the supermarkets.

The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped - the only thing we couldn't really find was some tools for the BBQ so bought a grabber thing and left it there but it was only a small one. There was already a small one there but you kind of need 1 for the coal and 1 for the food.

The pool was clean, the owner came to clean it each morning. A gardener came round frequently and cut the lawn etc. We had a mid-stay clean as we were there for 2 weeks, the cleaners did a very thorough job and were there for about 5 hours or more!! A bit unnecessary perhaps, just some clean sheets, towels and a quick go-over would have been fine!

Daylan itself is a marvellous area, so beautiful. Getting the boat to the beach was fun. We also got the bus and went to the turtle hospital which was lovely.

We wandered down to Dalyan for a drink or pancake or milkshake most days. We also got the boat to the small mud baths. If you walk to the end of the river path there is a guy (Mustafa) who will take you over to the other side for 10 TL per person, he did the 7 of us for 50 TL so well worth it as the boats down at the harbour will charge more like 130TL.

We went on a day boat trip with Volkan's Adventures which was amazing. We did the Devils bay trip, the kids absolutely loved jumping off the top of the boat and the BBQ and breakfast on board. Highly recommended.

All in all, an absolutely fabulous family holiday. The reason for 4 stars is just because the villa could be updated a bit. This won't impact on your enjoyment though so if you have booked or are thinking of booking don't fret. You'll have a fab time.

“A comfortable, clean, and well maintained property ideally situated within 10 minutes walk of the town centre.”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

My wife and I had a lovely holiday in Dalyan and the icing on the cake was the Villa Beste. It is ideally situated within easy walking distance of the town and river boats but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The nearest of many good restaurants is only about 100 metres away. The villa had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was well managed by Alp and his family who are very warm and friendly people. We did a lot of walking around the local area and for us, Villa Beste was indeed the best we could have stayed in. If we decide to go back to Dalyan for a holiday we would certainly choose Villa Beste to stay in.
