“Perfect, central villa with private pool and flexible accommodation.”

Casa Mia is a bright, spacious, modern villa with it’s own, decent size, swimming pool. It is well equipped with modern appliances and has a versatile layout which would suit families or friends travelling together.

Location
The villa is centrally located in Dalyan town. It is convenient for all amenities with a supermarket literally over the road and 3 more within less than 5 minutes walk. The restaurants and bars of Dalyan are also on the door-step but as the villa is set one road back from the main streets you hardly hear a thing. There is very little noise during the night and during the day very little traffic.

Outside
There are a variety of fruit trees that provide shade, privacy (and fruit!). We had fresh juice squeezed from some of the oranges one day and it was wonderful. There is a table and chairs as well as sunloungers provided. While we were there brand new sunlounger cushions arrived - very comfy. Sun lovers and shade seekers are both well catered for in Casa Mia. The planting and 2 large sails provide privacy and shade throughout the day and the sun travels across the top of the pool so at some point during each day one side is in sun the other shade. The main pool is a consistent depth, about 4 and a half feet deep throughout and as well as the larger pool there is a small, round pool, about 12” deep that bubbles through the day. It is always in shade and is a lovely place to sit and cool off. It would also be perfect for children.

Inside
The villa is one level, with a step of about 8” to get into the building. The floors are all tiled. All the essentials are provided, there is ample crockery and cutlery, pots and pans. There is a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine (useful for washing everything before you leave so no mad washing frenzy when you get home). The layout of the villa is interesting. There are 2 large living rooms facing onto the pool, one is equipped as a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, sofa and TV - it also has a very useful water cooler; the other has a double bed, sofa bed and little kitchenette, including fridge (we called this the "bedsit"). There are also 2 separate bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. This layout means that the villa could be sectioned off to provide 2 totally separate apartments, useful if 2 groups were travelling together or to give space to older children. As there were just 2 of us staying it meant we had the space to spread out and we used the "bedsit" during the day and the other room at night as it has the TV in there. The TV does not get any English channels that we could find however it did have 3 USB and 3 HDMI ports so we were able to plug in our data sticks and watch films we’d brought with us. There is, as you would expect, air conditioning and wifi in the villa. The wifi is linked to the apartment block next door so reception is better the closer you are to that (mainly in the "bedsit"). It is quite good signal from there though, hubby managed to download some books from google while we were away.

You can access the roof from stairs inside the villa (through a door that you can lock) but it is not a roof terrace, more a functional space with access to the solar panels etc. It is interesting to go up there and look out over the town but it only has a low wall around it so maybe not for children.

Special touches
The owners live in the apartments next door and, while not intrusive, are available should you have any issues. We asked them about replacing the large water bottle in the living room and a new one was delivered in less than 10 minutes (and at 6TL for 19L it was a lot cheaper and easier than lugging one back from the supermarket). I had emailed before we arrived asking if there was a coffee maker, to which they responded yes. When we arrived there was a brand new, still in box, coffee maker waiting for me which had clearly been provided after my request. Other things were a welcome cake given to us on our first full day and a t-shirt at the start of the second week with Casa Mia on the back. Simple gestures that went a long way to making our holiday special.

The best recommendation I can give is that we are already booking for next year, I can only recommend you do the same.
