Casa Mirador was the highlight of our month long stay in Costa Rica( We stayed in over 8 different properties) The location is absolutely incredible... for the views, the breeze, the ambiance of sitting on the deck or lying in bed and feeling as if you are in the treetop canopy. Multiple times we were dazzled by troops of monkeys passing by, cavorting and jumping tree to tree. Better than our visit to Manuel Antonio National Park. We were visited by toucans and mot mot at eye level and awakened by the sounds of the singing birds, went to sleep with the scent of ylang ylang. The sunsets viewed from the outside shower sublime. This is not a house of cushy amenities. Mirador, after climbing the 120 steps that zip zag thru an amazing garden, lovingly tended by Bismarck, the welcoming caretaker, is like a comfortable beach house, cool wooden floors and comfy sitting nooks and walls of windows. We fell in love with it's ambiance and simple graciousness. The kitchen is fully adequate. Dog lovers will enjoy the resident pooches who will cozy up to you if invited. Do rent a 4w drive vehicle to access the stunning beach below for it's a hot steep walk. We were warned about the commercialism and crowd in Manuel Antonio, but staying on this quiet hilliside, close to beach and town made our 5 days there a lovely surprise. I highly recommend Casa Mirador!

Our family of 4 had the best Christmas at Casa Mirador. The location and views are indescribable. There is even a view from the outdoor shower! Christmas is a very busy time in Manuel Antonio, but the location of Casa Mirador is far enough off the main road to be very quiet, but close enough to walk to the shops, restaurants and yoga classes. We walked 15" to prettiest beaches - and the quiet end of the main beach as well. The beaches are great for body surfing. We loved the morning sounds of the monkeys and birds and the visit by the white-faced monkey was unforgettable. Although there is no A/C, there is a breeze and yes, there are stairs, but once you are at the top, the views are worth it. The decks are great to watch the sunrise and set and our girls loved the window bench in their room as well. The caretaker, his family, and security staff of four-legged furry friends are warm and helpful as well. Our only regret....leaving!
