This was an awesome location for our wedding!!!!! 52 people in total and everyone had a great time! Rooms of all sizes and a lot of restaurants to choose from. We had our welcome dinner at La Baula and rehearsal dinner at the Flying Bull!!! Our wedding planner, Eunice Torelli (with the hotel), was on it and took care of everything. Our photographer Genna Marie (Tamarindo Family Photos on Facebook) was awesome and did a great job on the pics. Our only complaints are the inconsistency of the hot water and we had to replace the room keys a couple times.

Rooms are basic; but have all the amenities that you need - they are very clean too. The swimming pool is well positioned between reception and the beach. If you want an affordable beach hotel this is probably one of the best in Costa Rica. The beach is separated from the hotel by a low wall - this allows easy access to the sea and keeps the usual beach-craft sellers at a distance - the bird whistle sellers really annoyed me, and no, I don't want 10 cigars nor a coconut. There are a variety of restaurants - on this split site, the Pasta and Pisa one offers good value. Parking is in a a secure parking lot - but may be limited in high season. There is a Subway across the road which does amazing sandwiches

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are good value.

This place was not bad place to stay, the grounds were very nice the room was ok but there were just a ton of little issues that mad it fell more like a 3 start hotel to me. The water in the show would violently swing from ice cold to burning hot and all times of the day, we work up to a flooded bath room after a night for rain do to a leak in the ceiling, The locked gate kept breaking, the bed sheets had some stains, paper thin walls, the view from out room was just of a tree planted to close to the hotel, dead bug on the floor when we checked in, odd odored to the point that we had to sleep with the door open. The list goes on, nothing major just lots of little things that diffident fit with being 4 stars.

Dear FogHat13,

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel after your stay.

We much regret to perceive that we did not met your expectations and that you encountered some problems in your room. We have addressed your comments to our operations manager in order to find an immediate solution.

Some of our rooms don't have ocean views, however, these rooms still have all the other comforts you would expect from a 4 star hotel bedroom. Upgrades are also available and guests are advised of these.

We hope that the issues you had won't stop you considering us again sometime in the future.

Warm regards.

This place was great! Clean and accommodating. Located on the beach! My husband is a surfer and wished for better waves but they had a great atmosphere. Staff was very friendly!! Be sure to book excursions with the tour desk! W did two tours that were all day and on catamaran sunset snorkeling excursion! We loved them all!!!

located right on the beach, perfect view, some of best sunsets I've ever seen. Luis, the bar man, makes the hotel, he brings so much personality and energy to his role and you have to try Esteban's watermelon cocktails. they need to fix the air-con in the gym though!

Room Tip: get a sea view room!
