If a national park charges entrance fees of $15 per head, I do expect something in return. After all, most national parks in other parts of the world are free for the public to enjoy! The Arenal Volcano National Park is an utter disappointment. You get a tiny black and white paper with 2-3 basic trails that lead you along the foot of the volcano, walking through high vegetation that obstruct any view, the endpoint being the remains of the 1992 eruption. Skip this one and save the money. Go to Mistico instead.
