Stop here before riding the Cerro de la Muerte, nice restaurant compare to lots of smaller place, service was professional and the food was excellent, the only thing is that the price is a bit high.

We visited the Irazu volcano and stopped for lunch before taking the highway to San Jose, Costa Rica.
We asked for Pork Sirloin, Buffalo Stake, Filet Mignon and mixed meats dish(large size). Those were very tasty, but I want to let you know the small details if you visit this place:
1) The prices were really high in comparison to finest restaurants in San Jose (i.e. Escazu), and some of them are not including the side portion of vegetables or salad or fries. (prices goes from $25 until ~$50 each one + sales tax + 10% service tax (known as Tips in USA).
2)The kids menu is really limited without friendly traditional dishes as chicken fingers with fries including drink and Ice Cream as many other good restaurants, prices are really high (not including drink) average of $15
3) Some dishes don't include the vegetables or salads, you have to order separated (more charges for it)
4) The beverages are expensive (Diet Coke bottle with 355 ml) and don't have refill (for the price charged, this should be included).
5) Be prepared to paid more than $150 if you come with a family of 4 people, in our case we paid around $160 for our lunch.

If you decide to stop, I recommend the mixed meats (I choose the size Large pork chop and beef stake) and ordered fries separated, with this one can eat 2 adults easily. It was really good.
The attention was good and received by the owner when arrived, my suggestion to the owner is to reduce the prices and match the prices from similar restaurants in Escazu.
