We had no idea this was Helen Keller's home, and it was very enjoyable to learn about her and to see where she spent her early years. Good tour guides.

This was just a short day trip for us. We are history buffs, & thought this would be interesting. It doesn't take very long to do the tour at all, and it was interesting. The guides are very informative. They tell you a short narrative about Helen Keller's life, and you pretty much tour the house on your own. You are free to walk around the grounds afterwards. You only need about an hour for the entire tour of the house & grounds.

June weekends offer a live play "Miracle Worker" It's a thrill to tour the home and grounds and see the pump, all recognizable from the original movie. The play is Fabulous and heart rending. I had to keep reminding myself that it is all a TRUE story!

Four of us take a different motorcycle trip every spring-summer. This year we came across from Little River Canyon in Alabama to the home of Helen Keller. What a great place to learn about a brilliant woman and a determined teacher. We learned much about the achievements Helen made. The guide was super knowledgeable, she also suggested we go to the Rattlesnake Saloon for lunch. It was about 15 miles out of town in a cave. How COOL!
