This oasis of tranquility in the middle of a massive city was so enjoyable. Wonderful details throughout the garden.

I must have picked a bad day -very busy, hot and very poor air quality. It was packed, but well worth a visit, beautiful building and a photo opportunity around every corner. Perfect for couples and families.

Yu Garden is best visited early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The complex is very big with many old pavilions, towers and halls, mixed with lakes and many rocks. There are several trees older than 200-300 years. There are many places to have a quiet rest. The entrance fee is reasonable at RMB 40 for an adult. Seniors and students are half price.

The rest of the bigger complex is huge with many shops to explore.

Thank Kobus M

Very enjoyable experience and some lovely shopping although it was very busy. Was very hot amongst all the crowds but worth visiting.
