This Holiday Inn in Shanghai is like most basic Holiday Inns anywhere in the world: decent facility, clean, good continental breakfast, and free WIFI. It is not luxurious at all but just a slight step above a budget hotel. What I really did appreciate about this hotel (especially because the one we stayed in Beijing did not have) is that it had an iron, ironing board, and blow-dryer. It also came with complimentary toothbrushes, sowing kit, and other usual stuff. I was here for vacation but it this is a good place to stay for business as well. The staff was overall nice to us but I have to agree with other reviewers that their English is very limited so when we had questions they were little help.
It was a little difficult to get a taxi cab from the hotel. My biggest complaint was room service which I understand it's expensive but this one is particularly extremely high and the food tasted terrible but we were so hungry and did not have enough energy to look for a restaurant that was open.
The hotel is strategically located in front of the Shanghai Railway Station.
