Had a reservation confirmation for a business room in Great Wall wing. Arrived at the right part and was told I was upgraded (due to gold IHG) but in the other wing. Got a golf buggy across but when got to room was highly disappointed as it seemed so small compared to rooms at my 2previous hotels .no turndown service , in fact nothing to show it was an upgrade. Room number was 1205. Is this a normal room and my expectations too high or did something go wrong. Could not understand the wing change for something that seemed "not right"

Once again, I stayed in this hotel for seven nights. Invariably, I choose this hotel for its convenient location. The hotel needs to improve itself in terms of house keeping and renovation. Not a bad hotel for a short stay on business trip.

Stayed at this hotel on business and just about average property this one. Close to city center, but i would not stay here again. Breakfast is nothing great, rooms average, staff couldn't care enough for the guests. Been to much better holiday inn properties.

The hotel consists of two wings so it is helpful to know which one you are in, although if you turn up at the wrong one they have a buggy to transport you and your luggage to the right one. The location is quite busy and the noise of the city did disturb me a bit at night (but I'm a light sleeper). Wifi was a bit erratic. Hotel gym pretty pathetic. Breakfast was OK. Rooms were a good size but bathroom a bit pokey in comparison. It proved difficult to get a taxi to take you relatively short distances (for example down to the Bund) but the metro station is next door.

We are very concerned about your experience. Being located in the center of Shanghai Railway Station, we are indeed in the middle of all the action. While we are able to provide the convenience to our guests, we understand it is essential for us to provide our guests a quiet and relaxing environment in midst of the busy surrounding. Hence, we have the Gym, and Executive Club Lounge and various Restaurant Outlets to allow our guests to relax and have some peaceful time away from the bustling Shanghai. It startend with bad service at the check in. Wrong room.no sorry at all. The room and especialy the bathroom are from a poor quality to narrow and sometimes no hot water enough for showering. Several parts of this hotel were closet and look abandonned.
Forget the breakfast. The coffee machine was out of order and WiFi in the lobby & breakfast hal didn't work. Its looks the last investment was in the last century. Very disapointing.
