The location of this hotel was good, the room was clean and we were very impressed with the hotel customer service, especially Terry Tang in front desk was very kind and welcoming and also gave us his best knowledge to help us to explore the local area, made us feel extremely welcomed.

I stayed here for 5 days during a business trip. The Staff spoke both english and french, and were great in helping to get directions and explain where we wanted to go in chinese to the cab drivers. Comfortable big rooms, good breakfast. Worth the stay.

We stayed for 3 days in the Novotel Shanghai Atlanis Hotel.
The hotel is not easy to reach by car because of a construction area in front of the Hotel. Afterwards by Metro was good connection, just 10 minutes to walk.
The hotel is in a great conditional and the restaurants, Spa and Pool area very clean. The Service is good and the staff is friendly and speaks good english.
Just some small complaints for this Hotel according this price:
- Our Bathroom was dusty, others was clean
- The rooms are little small for an executive room
- The breakfast could be better, no bacon and no muesli
- The swimming pool is great, but the water little cold
- The buffet in 2nd floor restaurant some things was cold, the meat from BBQ was not hold and not well flavoured

Generally we can recommend the Hotel for the next visit.

Stayed there for a week and really love how the vicinity ranging with manicure services, massage to hair salon and not to mention local eateries(though i would say so-so to the food). The restaurants in the hotel serves much better food and I would highly recommend their Chinese Restaurant(Tip: ask about the portion as the portion is really big if you only have 2-3 person with you). The staffs were all super helpful and go to the extra miles of helping you to call the cab, find the best hotpot, advise where to go etc, On the last night I sprained my feet and all the staffs were showing their care and concern to make my trip a comfortable one even it is my last stay there. They even got a kind staff(Alison) to ice my feet and wheeled me in the wheelchair. Their impeccable service really touch my heart. Thank you for making my stay there a memorable and wonderful one. Will be back again because you all are so kid and wonderful Thank you! xx

Has potential, but seems to lack decent management.
The staff were all friendly and tried hard, but often didn't seem to know what they were doing. Check in and out was ok.
The room was pretty tiny. There were problems with the bathroom, some leaking etc. Pretty poor construction quality, which is quite common in China. As with other hotels in China, no real non-smoking areas. People smoke everywhere and no staff ever stop them.
The worst point was the cleaning staff shouting, which woke us up and was very irritating. Again, poor management.
Breakfast was good. Decent variety, good coffee, and enough seating.
The location is not so great at the moment. An ok taxi ride to the shopping area by the river, if you can get a taxi. There will be a train station close by in the future, which will make this a desirable location, although not much interesting in walking distance.
