We rented 601 Island Royale through Suncoast Realtors in Gulf Shores. Won't make that mistake again. After an 8 hour drive, we arrived at the condo about 5:30 p.m. It was at least 90 degrees in the condo when we opened the door . The place was filthy. Dirty bed linens piled on top of every bed. Dirty towels on the floor in the bathrooms. Dirty dish towels on the kitchen counter. We immediately called Suncoast and their answer to our complaint was "we've got 200 guest trying to check in". Not my problem. We paid big bucks for the place for a week. We booked it in January and went in June. The rep from Suncoast said he would get someone out to clean it in about 30 minutes. Well that didn't happen. When we tried to call back they didn't even answer the phone. We finally got someone at the emergency number who tried to help us. Even he couldn't reach anyone at the main office. Finally after 6 or 7 phone calls someone shows up about 7:30 to clean the condo. A lady named Bridgette from Suncoast did try to help us. She said she had been off for 3 days and just found out about our complaint when she got back to work. She checked with us a couple of times and refunded our housekeeping charge. As far as the condo itself, I would give it no more than 3 stars. Furniture worn and looked old. Balcony furniture was rusted and not inviting at all. Kitchen not stocked very well. We go to Gulf Shores every summer but won't rent this condo or use Suncoast again.
