The tent we got was beyond my expectations in such remote area. It had proper double bed with cusion and chairs to sit around and also the washroom was aatched to the tent. It was like a hotel experience.

We had really nice experience at this place.
The host was really awesome and really friendly.
As we reached our Tents, he explained us on how to adapt to such cold climate of -7 Degrees. We were really thankful to his advice. We recommend this place but also we
recommend you to listen to all his advices to adapt yourself to such cold weather.

Room Tip: Live here for Once in Lifetime Experience.

The location of the camp is beautifully set in the plains in front of the mountains. The camp is designed well with a lobby in the front and a wash room on the rear so that the bedroom is protected from winds on 2 sides. However I would advice the visitors to choose camps with camps on both sides so that they are protected from winds on all 4 sides. The place is very windy and cold after sunset. The sky looks amazing at night. We had visited the place in first week of June so the camps were not fully equipped. Best time to visit would be after 15 June, The oxygen level drops in the night. So please carry disprin tablets for headaches

We stayed at the brand new Parasol Chansal Camp set up at village Larot, Distt. Shimla by Bishen and Company. infact we had the honour of being the first guest at the Camp on 24th April, 2018. Unbelievable hospitality by the hosts Bishen Lal, Sandeep Sharma and Sandeep Kaundal (of Classic Expeditions). They personally took care of everything. The welcome drink was an unforgettable broth of hot water boiled with ginger and cinnamon to clear the throat. We kept on asking for it again and again during our stay, though Bishen did not finally share the recipe, inspite of my wife pestering him. The Double blankets and hot water bags inside the bed kept us warm. Staying in a camp is an experience in itself as one has to be very open minded about the facilities usually available at a hotel room. But Bishen and Company did not let us feel that anything was missing. The magnificent views of the mountain ranges, sunrise and sunset sitting outside the tent, breakfast in the open with snow peak mountains behind you, pine forests all along, bonfire in the evening, hot pakoras available on demand, we had everything. Bishen had endless anecdotes to share and we used to have meals together. It was more of a family affair among the guests and the hosts as we were the only guests around. Chansal pass is a must visit, we were lucky to walk on snow even during late April. Would look forward to be with Bishen, Sandeep and Sandeep (Kaundal) again in the other camps operated by them. They are just too good hosts and guides and made my holiday memorable.

Room Tip: All the Tents overlook the valley and have magnificent view. The camp is set up within an apple orchard, we visited during flowering season.
