Power outages are a regular thing in Bocas Town, as well as our home in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, so when the lights went out on my daughter's 6th birthday we didn't sweat it. We hung in the park for a while and then I walked over toward Toro Loco on the off-chance it might be open. And we were in luck, it was one of the few places with a generator. Luckily we got there first, because by the time the rest of the town figured it out, they were packed!
The birthday girl wanted wings and the reviews all pointed to this place so it all worked out. The service was great and it's a funky little place with a lot of US charm. The food was good, I wish I had ordered a wrap because the side salad I got was delish. We got wings, cheeseburger, and toro rolls and we were all very happy.
The beautiful blue-haired bartender was amazing (sorry I can't remember your name)!
So if you are looking for wings, burgers, wraps (why didn't I get one!), and televisions...or just some place open during the outage, this is your place!
