Great experience. Manuel was a top guy with great knowledge on the area and with diving in general. We had a great laugh with him and he gave us some fruit as a snack whilst waiting for dive 2. Definitely recommend.

The diving trip was amazing! We did the discovery dive and visited the most amazing shipwreck with so many fish and rays, covered in coral. The two staff members were so great at explaining everything and made us feel so safe for our first dive! We even got food at La Buga restaurant afterwards and it was so good we returned that evening! I would definitely recommend.

I went on a 1:1 dive with Ivan and had a great trip! As I always feel a bit unconfident when going diving every few years, Ivan took the time to give me a very detailed briefing before we went on the boat. He also offered me a hand when diving into a sunken ship and he helped me with my camera. I felt very safe throughout the whole two dives and I am very happy about another great diving experience. I can only recommend this place!

Well, where to start? First - La Buga is awesome and if you think about going diving, surfing, eating, drinking there, it’s a YES.

Having the honor of starting my diving career at La Buga and diving fully into it, I got to experience their great service and offerings and could not have wished for a better start in exploring the underwater world. To give the best insight, I’ll just walk you through a day with La Buga :)

Starting with scheduling a dive is being made super duper easy by Manuel being always flexible, here to answer all your questions and already giving the first motivation boost with his passion and knowledge about marine life. There are strange looking animals living underwater and he can tell you all about it. Whether its worm-eating corals, glowing plancton, or impressive octopus. He is always making sure to show you the big as well as the very small animals.

To reach the dive site all the equipment, which is very good maintained and always prepared for you, is stored nicely on the Trimaran they use go get around Bocas. It’s big, comfortable and you can enjoy the view of Bocas even from the Roof of the boat. Including a fresh-water shower for after-diving. They will bring you to whatever dive site works best on that day - whether it’s a reef, a wreck or on special occasion some Caves, Bocas really is a beautiful place with a lot of different places and marine life.

A MUST-DO: the Night Dive. Here in Bocas the glowing plankton at night is especially magical, giving you a feeling of swimming in an ocean full of stars. Companied by one of the Dive Masters, it is a wonderful experience to share and they are always making sure you feel safe, comfortable and mange the dive in a professional way. Between the dives the Restaurant at La Buga is highly recommended and my special tip is definitely the coconut smoothie!!

And if you can’t get enough of diving, they offer PADI Dive courses and certifications for all levels. Ivan, the instructor, is not only a great dive teacher, but can also teach you some Spanish. With a couple thousand dives already done, he is more than very experienced and confident in what he is teaching.

All in All - Dream Location, Dream Team, Dream Diving. So grateful for all the amazing experiences I had here. For everything I could learn at La Buga about diving, developing new skills and how to trust that everything is going to work out well in a challenging environment, for their openness and flexibility and the magic I got to experience under the water seeing and getting to know different forms of life and sharing a moment together with them. GRACIAS!

Wonderful Team, excepcional support with the kids.
Group of 10, with two teenagers and 4 children. We all had a lot of fun. Most important, we felt safe diving with them.
If you’re in Bocas and you feel like diving, you should go with these guys!!!
